As I am sure you heard, voting for VMworld 2014 sessions is now open! Based on my count this morning, it looks like 1,179 public sessions are available to select from (though only 1,178 to vote on as session 1645 appears to have been submitted by accident). All in, I have 6 sessions up for public voting! Now you may be wondering why I submitted 6 public sessions, how many private sessions I submitted, and what I will do if they all get accepted. Read on to hear the reasoning behind my approach this year.
I am finally putting together my VMworld EMEA schedule so I thought I would share!
Wow, what a week! Now that VMworld US 2013 has wrapped up, I have a few minutes to sit down and talk about the event. VMware made a lot of announcements and from people I talked to everyone responded favorably. For me, it was an opportunity to meet new people and also participate in an event that will shape the future of technology.
I really wanted to call this post: I AM PRESENTING A VMWORLD 2013!!! but decided to take a different approach 🙂 We all have hopes, dreams, goals, and/or bucket lists. One item that had been on my bucket list was to present at VMworld and I am happy to announce that I have two sessions that were accepted for 2013:
- Session: PHC4478 – Three Advantages of Running Cloud Foundry in a VMware Private Cloud
Speakers: Steve Flanders, Tarik Dweik
Track: Public and Hybrid Cloud
Presenting at: San Francisco
- Session: VCM4445 Deep Dive into vSphere Log Management with vCenter Log Insight
Speakers: Steve Flanders, Chengdu Huang
Track: Virtualization and Cloud Management
Presenting at: San Francisco, Barcelona
In addition, this will be first time that I will be attending VMworld in Europe. If you are planning on attending VMworld this year, please be sure to attend one of these sessions!
For those of you who voted for my public session, THANK YOU!
It is that time of the year again, the VMworld Call for Papers public voting is now open! I am not sure how this happened, but it appears the session Tarik and I submitted landed in the number one spot on the voting page: 4478 Three Advantages of Running Cloud Foundry in a VMware Private Cloud. If my script counted correctly there are 954 submissions to choose from. Good luck to all!
